A Family Legacy Rooted in Central Ohio

For more than 50 years, the Gaiser family has been part of the fabric of Central Ohio—building not just a business, but a place where families can make memories together.

It all started with Erich Gaiser, a beloved local golf pro with a deep love for the game and an even greater passion for bringing people together. After serving as the Golf Pro at Blackhawk Golf Club from its founding in 1964 until his retirement in 1989, Erich—along with his brother Walt and cousin Paul—built Westerville Golf Center in 1970. What began as a simple driving range soon grew into something much more.

Erich poured his heart into the center, visiting nearly every day until late in his life. He along with his wife Shirley, were proud of the legacy they created. In 1990, the family expanded the facility to include The Frontier Miniature Golf and Batting Cages—a place designed to bring laughter, learning, and lasting connections for people of all ages.

The tradition continues with the Gaiser children at the helm. As proud second-generation owners, they honor their father’s vision while evolving the center for today’s families.

Today, we offer covered and uncovered tees, two beautifully maintained 18-hole mini golf courses, and eight top-notch batting cages, Westerville Golf Center remains a local destination for serious golfers and playful families alike.
